THE BROADS WAY: WE TALK TO AUTHOR T. RUNYAN ABOUT HER GREAT ARTICLE ON HER TEENAGE YEARS, FINDING HER POWER THAT CAME WITH HER BIKINIS AND DISCOVERING HER DAD WAS A MAN AND NOT JUST A DAD.

We had a great chat with Author T Runyan about her article I found in Salon.com http://www.salon.com/2017/03/18/the-day-i-put-my-bikini-away/. It was so well written and so relatable to me that it transported me to my miserable teen years. Thats some kind of writing. T. tells us about growing up as a beach going California girl, feeling awkward until she put on a bikini. She was 5 ft  11 and never felt comfortable in her skin until she put on that magic bikini. With it on she felt she was just fine. She also noticed the power she had over men because of her body. She took in their   approving looks and felt validated. Michelle and I totally related.  We all discussed when we found out our fathers were men and not just dads. The awkwardness that sometimes occurs between a daughter and her dad when her body changes and that it must be weird for the fathers as well. One day T.was sunbathing in her backyard in one of her bikinis  and she felt like someone was looming over her. She looked up and saw her father at the window taking pictures of her. He said he was checking out how she was looking. It made her feel violated and uncomfortable and that was the day she put her bikini away. Its a great read. T is a delight. Again, it was like three girlfriends that have known each other for years, drinking coffee and chatting away. She is working on a memoir about her years in California and I for one can't wait to read it.

Thanks to T for being so open and honest and sharing that time with us. She was articulate and funny and a true delight. Of course we want her back on.

Why is it not that way for women. Its ridiculous. Vanessa tells us her romantic story, its kind of like the movie Last Night IN Paris, except it wasnt just a night and it was not in Paris. They both lied about their age which was not a huge difference and why she was compelled to lie about it. We talk about how amazing it is to make such a great connection. Even if it turns out being only two days its a memory of something beautiful.

AL IS BACK FROM THE ABYSS. WE TALK TO SPIRITUAL GUY RICHARD POZZUTO FROM AUDACIOUS SPIRIT AND FOUND OUT WHO WE WERE IN PAST LIVES..NO CLEOPATRAS ..

Al was there after a long journey into the unknown. Something tells me like my other co hosts he will be a mystery once again next week. Our lovely producer George joined us even though he was near death. Sitting across from him I just wanted to give him some kleenex and chicken soup and tell him to go nighty night. What a trooper!! 
Al went into all women are alike rant while George and I listened. We talked the I LOVE TRUMP TRUCK THAT PLAYS COUNTRY DITTYS AS IT CRUISES AROUNd Manhattan.  Nothing Says New York City quite like Conway Twitty. MAGA!!
Richard kindly called in and explained his clairvoyance classes and Chakras. We found out there are too many Chakras and too little time for descriptions on the podcast. We talked man hands then frosty chicks, courtesy of our millennial curmudgeon Curtis. We found out who we were in some of our past lives. There was a beautiful love story because apparently AL and I had once been in love!!!! I ended up croaking and he went crazy...So beautiful..I'm tearing up now.. Listen in for a perfectly timed, but unbeknownst to George, incredibly loud toilet flush.  To sum it all up fun was had by all.

The Grace co host curse continues. No Kenny, No Donnie, No Al, Not EVEN GEORGE!!! Luckliy I had our millenial curmudgeon Curtis to take the co host chair. Gotta admit we did have the lovely AMARIE with her lovely straightened locks but the comedy club felt like a ghost town. Tumble weeds seemed to be blowing past the room. Our show was lowkey but informative. Next week Al will be back. Hilarity shall ensue!!

 

We had the lovely cuddlist Janet Trevino from San Antonio on. She explained how one gets certified as a cuddlist. What being a cuddlist actually entails. What are the dos and don'ts of cuddling. I asked if she cuddled a la spooning. She did. I asked if the puptent was awakened on her butt area. She said it does happen. First she ignores and hopes for the erect penis to wither. If not they discuss. We discussed her customers. They were all ages.  Listen and learn. It was low key but informative.

We Talk ADULTING AND CAT FISHING WITH JAVA BUD TONY DUFRESNE AND MY PAL C.BRIAN SMITH OF MEL MAGAZINE>

There was no Donny, No Al, No Curtis, No Ben. I thought that there would be no Kenny, but he arrived unscathed from being my co host the week before. We also had our producer George chiming in his very unique thoughts about both subjects. I hate the term adulting and I feel like slapping someone when I read someone using it. Adulting is millenial baby speak for growing up. This occurrence (growing up and living your life) has been happening since cave man days. Tony tried to explain to us the tender thoughts of the reluctant adults. Tony explained his mentoring and his javabud total website experience. He was fab. Also he has a podcast you must hear.He's great. 

Then we had my bud C.Brian Brown from Mel magazine on to discuss his article on catfishing. Catfishing is when someone  pretends they are someone else whilst trying to woo or swindle you . Brian had a year of it from a Belgian orphan, that turned out to be a swarthy middle aged man. We had all been fooled by someone. I had a man send me pics of himself probably from twenty years ago, and minus the two hundred pounds he had on him when I met him for a drink..Always the trooper I stayed and got properly kind of bombed. George got a pic and met the woman. He in his ever so gentle George way called her a rat faced woman with glasses. Such a charmer.. He did buy her dinner and Ms rat Face ordered steak. Kenny being the nicest of all of us had no bad stories to tell. I fear he will be another one of my disappearing co hosts. No more pastie or aureola talk from him. Brian was once again honest and adorable.

Today we talked to Erica of Sexology Institute. She is their resident expert on cunnilingus and gives us the lowdown on what she teaches men and women on how to perform magnificent muff diving. She tells us what kind of people come to these classes. They have diagrams, lots of lessons and a plastic vulva.  I personally think its great people want to take the time to learn how to please their partner and they have a safe venue to learn. They also have a steak and a BJ Day class. BTW, that is a real day. Very manly..

We also discuss, manscaping, retro bush, and so much more. Erica was a great guest and she does know her stuff. Donnie missed our talk but our resident millennial curmudgeon Curtis was there for the whole show being his slinky Curtis self. Halfway through Donnies back up Kenny Ortega came in to share his wisdom on the topic and also talk pasties. We all learned a lot and I used the word cunnilingus in that one hour more then I did in my entire life or ever will again.

Today we talk to the wonderful Liz Petrone. She is a blogger, a mom of four and a very cool chick!! Again it was like talking to a girlfriend over a cup of java. We discussed mom guilt, taking an hour a night while the hubby and kids are snoozing to just bask in the quiet with a glass of wine or a bowl of ice cream (sometimes both)and not thinking you should be cleaning the grout from the tub. We talk about our moms. Liz lost her mom to suicide and she has written such beautiful and heartwrenching blogs on that experience. We also talked about Mean Older Ladies at grocery stores that yell at other peoples kids. Liz wrote a blog about this, because a mean lady yelled at her daughter to get her mitts off her carton of ice cream. Liz and Grace had flashbacks because mean older women yelled at us at grocery stores too, Graces was usually her mom, but some strange meanies did it too. All in all it was a fun show and we adored Liz.

Ghosting is the new word for blowing someone off with no explanation, whether it be someone you are dating, someone you had sex with or job interviews ...Jamie does not ghost, she is honest, WE, Michelle and I, have blown people off . We also talk about how people misrepresent themselves on dating sites with either a very old/meaning young pic of themselves, thin pic when they now weigh 200 pounds more and even sending someone else picture!!! We ponder how in the world do they think no one will notice?? Also how easy it is to say next, when you have not found Mr. Or Ms Perfection yet. What makes the perfect seekers think they are so perfect?? We talk about Graces date with a Jack The Ripper Fan Boy. We also discuss half night stands. Instead of scrambling out of unfamiliar pads in last nights clothes and no sunglasses facing the bright morning sun, people are doing their business and scramming so they can sleep in their own bed and enjoy their morning breath all to themselves. It was very fun doing this show. It was like chatting with girlfriends minus the red wine.
